Pre-Treatment
The Thermage Treatment Center at Infini Cosmetic of Scottsdale, AZ thrives to fully inform and prepare you for your treatment.
We will
- Discuss your goals and expectations for improvement
- Determine exactly where you will be treated – we may mark the areas of greatest focus directly on your skin
- Infini Cosmetic of Scottsdale, Az is unique in that we provide you with relaxants, pain medication and topical anesthetics to provide the utmost comfort during your procedure.
- We will remove any make-up and cleanse your skin
- Take pre-treatment photos – usually 5 photos at different angles
During the Treatment
How does Thermage feel?
During the Thermage procedure you will experience a brief, deep heating sensation with each pulse. Thermage delivers a cooling spray with each pulse to cool the surface of the skin and minimize the discomfort. Infini Cosmetic of Scottsdale is unique it that it Dr. Hall is able to offer you several options to manage any discomfort you may feel. Topical anesthetic, pain medications and even local anesthetic are offered.
With each touch of the ThermaTip device, you will experience the following:
- First, you will feel a cooling sensation (that occurs continuously with each REP).
- Next, you will feel a brief, deep heating sensation as the RF energy is delivered to your skin.
- Lastly, immediately following RF delivery and the deep heating sensation, you will again feel a cooling sensation brought on by the post-cool effect. The cooling process protects your skin and makes the treatment more comfortable.
What is your part in the treatment process?
- It’s important to understand that the deep heating sensation is your indication that your collagen is reaching effective temperatures for tightening. Your physician sets the amount of energy delivered to balance procedural comfort with maximum results. You influence just how much energy that is. He/she will ask you routinely about the heat sensation you are feeling and will adjust the energy accordingly.
Half-Time Assessment
- Upon completing treatment of one side of your face, your physician will sit you up so you may see the potentially immediate results compared to the un-treated side of your face.
